Across the spectrum: Understanding a fragmented Family and our sacred text
The Bible's first post-flood family is deeply fragmented.  Rabbis from across the religious and exegetical spectrum analyze and discuss the biblical record of Hagar, Sarah, Abraham, Ishmael and Issac.  After our first strides into the Jewish new year, what lessons should linger in our minds from this peculiar recounting?

Campus Life: Personal Perspectives
With presenters from three of Toronto's largest universities, the university panel is hoping to cover topics that arise as a Jewish student on the Toronto campus. Each of the panelists will be discussing how they've each been involved in their respective Hillels on campus, and how they've balanced their identity as a Jew and Canadian university student. This will hopefully cover all kinds of topics: interfaith programming, outreach to other types of Jews, what it means to be a 'light unto the nations,' questioning the reality of antisemitism on the Canadian campus, the pursuit of academic Jewish studies, and how to deal with identity as a product of the millenial age.
