Yvonne Green

Born in London England in 1957, Yvonne Green practiced at the bar in London and New York until she retired to publish the poems she’d always written. Since then, Yvonne has won honours for 5  books of her poetry! She's been broadcast on BBC Radio and YouTube.

The daughter of a Central Asian family, Yvonne’s work focuses on the unfamiliar world of Boukhara and Judeo-Tajik culture. Yvonne writes from the heart of community, and community is at the heart of all she writes.

Her collections include "Jam And Jerusalem" (2018), "Honoured" (2015) Poetry Book Society Recommended, "After Semyon Izrailevich Lipkin 1911-2003" (2011) a Poetry Book Society Recommended Translation, "The Assay" (2010) a Poetry Business Book and Pamphlet prizewinner, "Boukhara" (2008) a Poetry Business Pamphlet prizewinner.

Yvonne is the Poet Laureate of LIMMUD Toronto 2019.
